Female Thread Neodymium Pot Magnet - Diameter 42mm x 20mm | Epoxy Coated Base

This heavy-duty Female Thread Neodymium Pot Magnet features a durable Epoxy Coated Base for enhanced protection against moisture, corrosion, and harsh environmental conditions. Measuring 42mm in diameter with a total height of 20mm, this powerful rare earth magnet is designed for industrial, workshop, marine, automotive, and commercial mounting applications where durability and strong magnetic holding performance are essential.

Built with a high-strength neodymium magnet housed inside a steel pot casing, this female threaded mounting magnet delivers an impressive 30kg pull force while weighing only 97 grams. The integrated M6 female thread allows for secure attachment to bolts, hooks, eyelets, brackets, and custom fixtures, making it ideal for versatile mounting and holding applications.

The epoxy-coated rubber-style base helps protect delicate painted or polished surfaces from scratching while also improving resistance to outdoor conditions and exposure to the elements. This makes it an excellent choice for marine environments, vehicle mounting systems, signage, displays, workshops, and industrial fabrication projects.

Identified by AMF Magnetics part number AMFYPD42/EP, this strong magnetic mounting base combines holding power, surface protection, and durability in a compact and professional design.

Product Specifications

Product Type: Female Thread Neodymium Pot Magnet

Diameter: 42mm

Total Height: 20mm

Magnet Housing Thickness: 9mm

Thread Size: M6 Female Thread

Pull Force: 30kg

Weight: 97g

Base Type: Epoxy Coated Base

Part Number: AMFYPD42/EP

Important Information

Please note: the Epoxy Coated Base provides greater protection against the elements and helps reduce surface marking; however, it may slightly reduce the overall pull force when compared to our standard AMFYPCD42 version.

Pull force ratings are based on ideal conditions using direct contact with a thick, clean mild steel surface. Actual performance may vary depending on surface material, coatings, thickness, and direction of force

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
