Female Thread Neodymium Pot Magnet – 48mm x 24mm (Slim Profile) | M8 Boss
Delivering exceptional strength in a low-profile design, this 48mm Neodymium Female Threaded Pot Magnet is built for heavy-duty holding applications where both performance and space efficiency matter. Engineered with a 10.5mm slim housing height and a total height of 24mm, it provides a powerful magnetic solution without unnecessary bulk.
At its core, a high-performance rare earth magnet is encased within a durable steel cup. This casing redirects and concentrates the magnetic field to the base, significantly increasing holding strength while protecting the magnet from impact and wear. The result is an impressive pull force of up to 77kg under optimal conditions.
Fitted with an M8 female thread and a 13.5mm external boss, this magnet offers a secure and versatile mounting point. Easily attach bolts, hooks, eyelets, or custom fittings to adapt the magnet for a wide range of industrial, commercial, or workshop applications.
Key Features:
Diameter: 48mm
Housing Height (Slim Profile): 10.5mm
Total Height: 24mm
Thread: M8 Female
External Boss Height: 13.5mm
Pull Force: Up to 77kg
Construction: Neodymium magnet encased in steel (single-sided magnetic field)
Why Choose a Pot Magnet?
Pot magnets are specifically designed to maximise holding force by focusing the magnetic field on one face. The steel casing amplifies magnetic performance while also protecting the internal magnet from chipping, cracking, and environmental damage—making them ideal for demanding environments.
Applications:
This powerful female threaded pot magnet is perfect for:
Mounting heavy signage, lighting, or fixtures.
Securing tools, equipment, or machinery components.
Creating removable fixing points on steel beams, frames, or structures.
Attaching to non-magnetic materials using bolts or threaded accessories.
Use in industrial, warehouse, construction, and mining environments.
Its combination of strength and slim design makes it particularly useful where high holding force is required in confined spaces.
Note:
Pull force is measured under ideal conditions (direct contact with a thick, flat mild steel surface). Real-world performance may vary depending on surface thickness, coatings, air gaps, and orientation. For vertical or sliding applications, the effective load capacity will be reduced.
Reliable, adaptable, and built for performance, this 48mm slim profile female thread pot magnet is a premium solution for demanding magnetic mounting tasks.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
