This block magnet has a 20mm width and length with a thickness of 5mm. It has a magnetic flux of 2581Gauss and a pull force of 8.3 kilos against 5mm mild steel. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 22015A.
This Neodymium Block Magnet has a low profile and two square flat surfaces that project the North and South magnetic poles. The low height profile makes this magnet particularly resistant to shearing forces and sideways pressure which makes it ideal for holding and positioning applications. The low height dimension means this magnet has less overall strength than magnets with a thicker profile, however, this is particularly advantageous for applications that required a larger surface to glue to the base of a non-magnetic object.
This magnet is supplied to a diverse group of users including roman blind and curtain manufacturers, training simulator suppliers to the mining and earthmoving industries, pharmaceutical companies and for general purpose use.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
