Neodymium Pot Magnet w/ Threaded Hook Description:

This Rare Earth Magnetic Hook consists of a super-strong Neodymium magnet housed within a mild steel holding pot. A threaded hook is attached to this pot magnet specifically for heavy-duty holding purposes. The Rare Earth Magnet has a holding force of 22kg and a weight of 37grams. It has a diameter of 25mm, a total height of 42mm and a magnet housing thickness of 8mm. This neodymium pot magnet has an M5 thread with a 7mm hook.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

Bought 3 strengths and tested them

Great quality, if you want to properly hang serious things, don't go less than the 20kg pull force category...

Bought these for a series of uses in my house. One is to hang items off a metal rack.

Bought different types, and this is what i found:

- the 25mmx42 - won't hold a frypan. Can hold a wool long coat however.

- 32mmx47 - can technically hang an average cooking frypan, but it might flip off if the pan swings or something. I'd recommend going a strength up just to be sure. can hang a metal colander fine.

- 36mmx47- definitely good for a frypan. won't hold a bag of oranges.

Excellent magnets

These hooks are fantastic and incredibly strong! AMF magnets sent them out very promptly and I'm really impressed, perfect for what I need them for. I will definitely be buying from AMF again.

Easier to remove with the hook

We have been using magnets for years now to retain glass panels in steel frame windows whilst the silicon initially cures. The hook makes it easier to remove them the next day.
