Male Threaded Magnetic Pot Product Description:
AMF magnets use very strong neodymium magnets to create this STAINLESS STEEL Rare Earth Male Threaded Holding Magnet. This product has a diameter of 25mm, a total height of 17mm and a magnet housing thickness of 8mm. This permanent magnet has a magnetic round base with an M6 male threaded stud attached with an external boss of 9mm. This pot magnet has an overall pull strength of 12kg and a total weight of 30 grams.
Uses for our Male Thread Neodymium Pots with Stainless Steel Coating:
The anti-corrosive properties of the stainless steel coating further increase the versatility of this powerful Neodymium Holding magnet. Stainless steel, unlike most metallic materials, does not oxidise and rust, so for outdoor applications or where the magnet is affected by the weather, moisture or corrosive elements, this style of magnet is ideal.
Stainless steel is made from chromium-based alloys which are also non-magnetic, so this magnet is a highly effective holding device with the magnetic field at the base being North in orientation. The threaded hole in the casing can accommodate a hook or eyelet attachment which, when fitted, makes this Pot magnet one of the most practical magnets available. Stainless steel surfaces do not promote the development of bacteria and are not easily corroded or contaminated. This helps to satisfy hygiene and health and safety requirements that are commonly enforced in food preparation and medical environments or anywhere sterilisation is extremely important.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
