Neodymium Pot Magnet with M6 Male Thread – D32mm x 18mm | Stainless Steel Coating
The Neodymium Pot Magnet with M6 Male Thread combines a rated pull force of 30kg with a compact circular housing and a practical external threaded boss. Featuring a SUS410 stainless steel coating across the entire pot housing, this rare earth mounting magnet is suited to removable fixtures, workshop accessories, signage and custom magnetic assemblies.
The pot base measures 32mm in diameter x 8mm thick, with an M6 male thread extending 10mm from the housing, giving a total height of 18mm. The external thread connects to a compatible female-threaded fitting or can be secured through a suitable mounting hole using an appropriate nut.
Practical Threaded Magnetic Mounting
The M6 threaded boss provides a secure fixing point for brackets, panels and accessories. Once attached to your component, the magnet creates a removable connection to a suitable steel surface, allowing the assembly to be repositioned as required.
The pot construction protects the neodymium magnet and concentrates magnetic attraction towards the holding face, providing strong direct-pull performance within a small footprint.
Key Features
-
Base dimensions: 32mm diameter x 8mm thick.
-
Total height: 18mm, including the threaded boss.
-
External boss: M6 male thread x 10mm long.
-
Rated pull force: 30kg.
-
Magnet material: Neodymium rare earth.
-
Housing finish: SUS410 stainless steel coating.
-
Mounting style: External threaded connection.
Applications
This 32mm male thread neodymium pot magnet is suitable for display fittings, removable signage, workshop organisers, positioning jigs and equipment accessories. Its compact base and M6 fixing make it easy to incorporate into assemblies requiring a detachable magnetic mounting point.
Selection note: The 30kg pull force is a direct-pull rating, not a safe working load. Actual holding strength depends on steel thickness, surface condition, air gaps and load direction. Vertical mounting and sideways loading reduce holding capacity.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
