Neodymium Countersunk Pot Magnet - 42mm x 7.6mm (Slim Profile)

Neodymium Countersunk Pot Magnet - 42mm x 7.6mm

This powerful Neodymium Countersunk Pot Magnet combines a slim low-profile design with impressive holding strength, making it ideal for industrial, commercial, workshop, and mounting applications. Measuring 42mm in diameter with a thickness of just 7.6mm, this rare earth pot magnet delivers an outstanding 50kg pull force while maintaining a compact and streamlined profile.

Designed with a centrally positioned 6.5mm countersunk mounting hole, this magnetic pot holder can be securely fixed using a countersunk screw for a flush and professional installation. The steel pot housing helps concentrate and direct the magnetic force to the active face, significantly increasing holding performance compared to standard magnets of a similar size.

Despite weighing only 60 grams, this heavy-duty neodymium mounting magnet provides exceptional strength for applications requiring reliable magnetic holding in a slim form factor. It is identified by AMF Magnetics part number AMFYPA42SLIM.

Perfect for cabinetry, workshop fixtures, retail displays, signage, automation systems, engineering projects, and industrial fabrication, this countersunk magnet is a versatile solution where secure magnetic mounting is essential.

Product Specifications

Product Type: Neodymium Countersunk Pot Magnet

Diameter: 42mm

Thickness: 7.6mm

Countersunk Hole Diameter: 6.5mm

Pull Force: 50kg

Weight: 60g

Part Number: AMFYPA42SLIM

Important Information

Pull force ratings are based on ideal conditions using direct contact with a thick, clean mild steel surface. Actual holding strength may vary depending on mounting orientation, surface coatings, material thickness, and environmental conditions.

Neodymium magnets are brittle and should be handled carefully to avoid cracking or chipping from sudden impact.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
